Brian Standing

Brian is the ideal club president. He played at the club from 1962 until 1988 and he has been an excellent ambassador throughout his years of involvement.

A suitable tribute to Brian can be seen on the club walls in a copy of the scorecard when St. Annes bowled out Darwen for only six runs, still the lowest ever score in the Northern league. On that day Brian's figures were 6.7 overs, 3 maidens, taking 5 wickets for 5 runs.

Brian is also been the club's representative on the Northern League, a position he has held for as long as anyone can remember.
