Junior Cricket Tour 2009
It is my intention to try to organise a junior tour to South Africa in December and January 2009/10 when England are there on tour. We had the first fund raising event last night and raised over £300. Obviously we need to do a lot of fund raising and I will need some help. I am looking for fundraising ideas and volunteers to help with the planning of the tour.
The idea is to take two teams comprising of ages 11 to 18 one team may be 11 to 13 and the other for the older boys. We would base our tour in Port Elizabeth to play 2 or 3 games before going to Cape Town to watch the Test match and play another 2 or 3 games. We would obviously visit a game reserve and drive the garden route. Whilst in Cape Town we would have the oppurtunity to visit Table Mountain and Robben Island. Also we could visit Paarl and Stellenbosch to taste some wine.
