Junior Fixtures
Please can everyone note that the junior fixtures are changing all the time and may not be as originally planned so please check with myself or the team manager. I apologise for this but we, and other clubs, are again fighting the battle with football. Due to a bad winter there are many football matches being arranged for evenings and they also keep arranging the spring/summer tournaments at weekends. I will try my best to re-arrange as any cricket games as possible but as the season continues it may be more difficult.
Could parents please keep in mind that the cricket season is only short when compared to football. Thank you for your co-operation.

Furthermore, any of our older junior players would be most welcome if they wish to help with the younger age groups.
Anybody, parent, player or member, who is prepared to help with scoring or umpiring would be most welcome. Obviously to umpire a good knowledge of the game and it’s laws would be required.

Under 10's Set League Record
St Annes under 10's have re-written the record books in their first game of the season during the victory at South Shore. St Annes, batting first, did not lose any wickets in totalling 269 for 0 (it is pairs cricket and you start on 200, losing 5 runs per wicket lost). I received an e mail from League Secretary Mark Myers to confirm this was correct as this has never been done before at under 10 level, the fewest wickets lost in all past games at under 10 level is two. This is a great achievement by the boys and I wish to congratulate them all on this achievement, aswell as Neil Bradley and Javid Iqbal our under 10 coaching team.
A remarkable statistic so early in the season and one of which the club should rightly be proud. Keep up the good work lads.
