Junior Cricket Chairman Russ Bradley is re-launching the junior newsletter. You will find lots of information in it and these wil be given to all juniors attending outdoor net practice. If you have any comments on the newsletter and on the juniuor section of the website we look forward to hearing from you.
Outdoor Nets
Junior net practice will commence outdoors on Monday April 7th. Under 10s and under 11s will have their sessions between 6pm and 8pm on Monday evenings with under 13s, under15s and under 17s on Wednesday also between 6pm and 8pm.
Congratulations to Gareth Costin and Javid Iqbal who have successfully completed their ECB level 1 coaching courses. My thanks to the club for paying for these courses and showing their continued commitment to the future of junior cricket at St Annes. It is my aim to persuade the club to provide two coaching courses every Winter, be it new coaches or any of our current coaches doing their next level.
I attended the Palace Shield Junior AGM on Wednesday 12th December and confirm that we will have teams competing in all age groups next season ie. Under 10, 11, 13, 15 and 17. I will be sending out players letters by the end of the year giving further details regarding the plans for 2008. Our provisional plans for next year are that head coach Richard Thomas will be responsible for coaching all our age groups and the managers/coaches will be as follows:

News Headlines
Cricket School
There is a holiday cricket school being run on 29th and 30th May for any junior player aged between 8 and 16. The cost is £15 per day (09.00am to 15.00pm) and the coaching will be done by Atiq Uz-Zaman and professional Mansoor Ahmed with assistance from Under 15 Manager Adam Taylor. For more information contact Atiq, Adam or any team manager. Leaflets can be found in the club attached to the junior notice board and will be handed to all children attending practice in the week commencing 12th May. If this proves successful we will look at further running them in the summer holidays.
Junior Tour To South Africa
