Junior Section Development and Coaching Policy
Aims and Objectives
To actively promote the club as a center of excellence for Junior members (up to the age of 18) in the FYLDE Borough area and beyond if required.
Action to be taken
- Retain and increase the 60+ junior members we presently have on our books.
- Request more involvement/support from parents/guardians/carers as volunteers for committee work social work and practice sessions.
- Take forward the development of Junior Girl members to form backbone of team(s).
- Request unqualified Senior Players to assist, under the supervision of a qualified coach, to assist at Junior Practice sessions.
- Offer financial assistance to senior players to undertake coaching courses.
- Work with the Palace Shield Junior Committee to promote and play in the Age Group competitions.
- Be an active member of the FYLDE Cricket Development Group.
- Arrange coaching sessions by qualified coaches in local Junior and Senior schools.
- Ensure a Child Welfare Officer and a Deputy are appointed and attend the appropriate ECB courses.
