Gerry took over the Chair of the Junior Cricket Committee from Doug Wilks in 2003. He has formalised and implemented a new development programme including Child Protection in Sport and his efforts contributed largely to the award of the Sport England Clubmark accreditation in 2003. He is also the Schools liason officer.
