In his first season with St Annes, he helped the club to their third League Title. Shane was a fast bowler who topped the Northern Premier League bowling averages in 2005 taking 100 wickets at an average of 7.90. He also scored 429 runs at an average of 30.64 in 21 innings. He was re-signed for the 2006 season but after surgery in March 2006 he was forced to withdraw at the last minute.

Shane has been signed for the 2007 season.
