Adam Griffths was a last minute replacement for the injured Shane Harwood. Adam had an exceptional summer in Australia finishing the 2005-6 Season as the highest wicket taker for the PURA CUP National Domestic 4 Day Competition with 48 wickets from 10 matches finishing in front of, amongst others, Bichel, Gillespie, Kasprowic, and Dorey. Adam was also voted Best Player for Tasmania winning both the prestigious Ricky Ponting Medal and David Boon Medals. The first time that this has been achieved.

He also completed the ING Cup One Day National Competition as seventh highest wicket taker with 14 wickets for the series behind Tait, MacGill, Hopes but in front of, Bichel, Kasprowic, Clarke, Gillespie. Adam is currently in the Australian senior development list of fast bowlers who are expected to play at International level within the next two seasons. He worked closely with the Australian team during the Ashes tour 2005.

Adam, played for Bacup CC in the Lancashire League last season.
