The Fourth XI

The Fourth team played in the Fylde Cricket League and were captained for the 23rd season by Tim Rawstron in the 2003 season. The team finished mid-table and continues to give junior players their first experience of senior cricket.

Player Profiles 2004 Season

Tim Rawstron Captain
R/H batsman. Captain of the fourth XI for the last 23 years Tim has one of the hardest jobs in the club ensuring that he always puts out a full team in spite of last minute "cry-offs". He has seen most of the senior players in their progress from the junior teams into the fourth XI and onwards, including current England player Andy Flintoff.

John Dougall
R/H batsman and wicketkeeper. He is a capable batsman and has been one of the most consistent run scorers for the 4th XI in recent seasons.

Mick Auty
R/H batsman, R/A medium bowler. Mick is Tim's right hand man in the fourth XI. He is a qualified coach and has developed many young cricketers skills in his time at the club. He is the man who bowls uphill and into the wind when no-one else wants to!

Paul Wilks
Age 18, L/H batsman and L/A spin bowler. Paul has come through the ranks from the under 15s and has already played in the third XI. Another junior who should achieve a regular place in the senior XIs in the coming years.
