Congratulations to the St Annes CC Ladies darts team skippered by Angela Birch and comprising of Chrissie Houghton, Diane Duxbury, Sheila Smith, Brenda Storey and Elaine Clark who last night beat Our Lady to win the Doris Ryan Cup.

Roger Banks has sent the following message by e-mail, doesn't he just make you sick!!
"It is so hot here at the moment I've had a 4 wicket haul and a 39 not out. So far I have only played 4 games taking in all 9 wickets and I've only had 2 knocks of 39n.o. and 9n.o.

Pies is in the form of his life and can't stop scoring fifties. Anyway we are all enjoying it here at the moment. I can't wait to get back to some juicy English wickets! "

New Captain for 2002

Graham Tindall has issued the following statement
The committee have appointed Sean Bickerdike as Club and 1st Team Captain for next season to suceed Russ Bradley. As you will know Sean is an experianced all-rounder who has been with the Club for many years and is well respected by his fellow players. He has a sound knowledge of the game and I am sure that he will do a 1st class job in trying to take the team to further heights.

The club have also confirmed that terms have been agreed with the new professional. They have said that the new pro will be an all-rounder who is a fast bowler and middle order batter who is of International standing. A formal announcement is expected in the next 7 to 10 days.
