David Callaghan is the latest in a succession of top flight professionals to play at the club. He has represented South Africa in one day international test matches from 1993 to 1999 with a high score of 169 not out against New Zealand. Dave had his third and final season with the club in 2001, producing some fine performances throughout the season and finishing top of the club bowling and batting averages.

David is an accomplished all-rounder having an effective medium paced bowling attack and excellent batting skills. His test experience has been in one day internationals where he achieved his best batting figures of 169 not out against New Zealand at Centurion Park.
