The newly formed St Annes Sunday XI were also victorious in a close game against Gregson Lane after the game was switched to St Annes with the Gregson Lane ground unfit following the recent weather. In a game reduced to 28 overs St Annes performed well in the field to reduce the opposition to 105 for 8 off their allotted overs, Dan Stoneman taking 3 for 20.

The St Annes reply started badly and they lost wickets at regular intervals and the game looked to be slipping away. However, two sixes and a four from Nick McKenzie turned the game in the home sides favour and they ran out winners with one ball to spare, McKenzie making a match winning 32 not out.
