St - Annes Under 10's
Under 10's Miss Out…..But only just
The Under 10's have performed magnificently this year to have a season's record of played 6, won 5 and lost 1. Under the direction of Gareth Costin and Javid Iqbal they have been a massive credit to St Annes Cricket Club, not only in their performances but also with their attitude and behaviour. With some of the boys aged only seven or eight it is good for our future.
It was therefore hard to take when told that they finished joint second in the league only to miss out on this Sunday's final on run rate. Maybe next year boys.
I would like to congratulate all the boys on a great season which for most of them is their first taste of match cricket. Many thanks also to Gareth and Javid for all their continued efforts.
