St Annes lost the toss and were asked to take the field. St Annes bowled very well and bowled Carnforth out for 91. Credit to the very promising Nathan Bolus who bowled very well for his 1 for 8 off 5 overs. Another promising youngster Ashley Ward also made his debut. The rain then came at half time and it looked like it wan't going to be St Annes day. However due to a refrshing attitude shown by the umpires and the Carnforth team the game resumed in a only a light drizzle with St Annes having 20 overs to make 92. They did this with 2 overs to spare. A good win and with all other matches abandoned St Annes caught up 8 points on thir rivals.
