This game saw the return to St Annes for Blackpool players Robin Bracewell, Dave Newton and Dave Booth. It was Dave Booths second game back at St Annes since his move to Blackpool at the start of last season after many seasons at St Annes in the 2nd X1. Blackpool won an important toss and asked St Annes to bat. Blackpool got off to a good start taking early wickets. Andy Armstrong, the form bowler in the league bowled an impressive spell for Blackpool. An impressive 70 from John Musgrave helped St Annes to a total of 186. In reply St Annes took early wickets and looked at 1 stage to be on course for their first 15 point win of the season. However an impressive 50 from Blackpool batsman Aga helped Blackpool to a losing draw with a score of 168 for 8. A good game, a good result for St Annes and it's always good to see Dave Booth back at St. Annes
