St Annes came away from last years champions with a creditable draw having had the best of the game. St Annes lost the toss, were asked to bat and lost Adrian 'Worzel' Darlington early on. St Annes then made steady progress to total 207 for 6, Gareth Evans making a solid 62, Shane Harwood 49 no and Stephen Twist 36. Morecambe began their reply well but went on to lose wickets at crucial times and never really looked like going on to win the game. Shane Harwood was the pick of the bowlers bowling unchanged to take 4 for 83. Again, if catches had been taken it could have been a different story and St Annes could have come away with full points.
