Match Report
St Annes travelled to Fleetwood on a run of good form and a fully committed midweek fitness session on the beach prepared us well, this despite the absence of Russ Bradley.
St Annes batted first and made another steady start until Adrian 'AB1' Darlington became the first wicket to fall with the score on 41. The wickets then began to fall at regular intervals but thanks to a late flurry from Adam Cotton (46) St Annes reached a competitive 164.
St Annes professional Shane Harwood then set about the Fleetwood batting, with only St Annes grown James Ellis showing any real resistance (46no), they were eventually all out for 126. Harwood bowled superbly to take 8 for 27 off 15.4 overs, the other wickets falling to the returning Michael Baer. St Annes now look forward to playing league leaders Netherfield on a run of excellent form.
