Match Report
A much improved and committed performance by St Annes saw us coming away from local neighbours Blackpool with a winning draw.
St Annes lost the toss and were asked to bat first and after a steady start were able to compile a good total for the conditions of 206, Ian Austin and Shane Harwood making half centuries. St Annes then removed Lancashire's Stephen Croft early and from then on always looked in control and Blackpool ended up holding on at 156 for 8. Had the two difficult chances offered by Blackpool professional Justin Kreusch been taken it may have been a different story.
An improved performance for St Annes and the commitment to the weekly practice sessions was showing signs of bearing fruit.
