Match Report
St Annes' poor run of form continued on Bank Holiday Monday with Kendal returning to Cumbria with the points. The toss was won by the visitors who chose to bat and got off to a flying start. St Annes were able to peg them back in the middle of the innings with some tight bowling and sharp fielding and did well to restrict Kendal to 198 when a score well over 200 looked likely.
On a turning wicket St Annes' batting looked frail and wickets were lost to poor shot selection at regular intervals. With only one partnership of any note it was an uphill struggle and St Annes were bowled out for 156 and are still looking for their first victory of the season. With the players fully committed to the cause and if the mistakes can be eliminated the corner should be turned within the near future
