A very disappointing afternoon saw St Annes defeated by Leyland at Fox Lane. Leyland won the toss and chose to bat first and compiled a score of 229, mainly thanks to classy innings of 102 from professional Ameer Khan.

St Annes consistently lost wickets at important times and were unable to build a partnership of any significance, bad shots and poor running between the wickets being the root of the downfall, professional Khan picking up six wickets. A back injury sustained by St Annes professional Shane Harwood piled on the misery for St Annes.
