Match Report

After a poor performance a week ago, the 3rd team had something to prove. Still missing our captain who moved up to the 2nd team, last seasons captain, Matt Purcel took the role. Having elected to field St Annes went out fired up to do a proper job, with Nigel Connoly picking up a well deserved 4-27 off 19. Backing him up all the way was Graham Tindall. With a star in the field, Nick McKensie who took a spectacular catch at square leg - a catch any cricketer would have been proud of. Longridge after 45 overs were 110-7.

Star of the match will have to go to Tim Bernstein who plugged away for an unbeaten 63, in not very easy conditions. Giving credit to the Longridge team they stook at their job and picked up wickets. With one over to go it seemed only fair that after a tough challenge Tim Bernstein hit the winning run. A job well done!
