St Annes cashed in on their improving league form to register this most comprehensive of wins.
Mike Harris, for so long the main standard bearer of the bowling attack, was boosted by the return of Ian Howe and helped by some fine catches and fielding, they both tore through Anchorsholme. The total would have been much less had it not been for St Annes' sporting request for the number 11 batsman to return after he had been given out- in their view wrongly. Alex Conn then hammered a useful 14!
Nigel Bernstein and Mick Auty were then hardly troubled to knock off the modest requirement as Anchorsholme- equally sportingly- used almost all their team to bowl after an initial spell from their openers.
St Annes take 16 points to Anchorsholme's nil.
