Match Report

Postal hardly had to move out of second gear to overtake St Annes paltry total in this Stewart trophy clash.

Although the pitch was difficult with the ball keeping low, only Nigrl Bernstein with 19 looked capable of handling it along with Postal's set of useful, accurate bowlers. Skipper John Tite with 4 - 13 and Aaron Hudson with 2 - 13 were the wicket takers and St Annes inept running between the wickets led to three run outs.

St Annes worked hard in the field with Nick Jones' four overs costing a mere 8 runs. Arshad Javed bowled three excellent overs for 1 - 11 and took a fine, diving catch but a muscular 25 not out from Dave Cox gave Postal the necessary push.
