St Annes bounced back in the best way from their defeat of the previous week with this clinical demolition of Blackpool.
They were asked to bat first and lost prolific opener Nigel Bernstein to the fifth ball of the innings. However Paul Wilks again belied his young years and demonstrated his continuing improvement with a sparkling 69. Nick Jones(14), John Dougall(19),Arshad Javed(37)and a blistering 20 not out off eight balls from Gary Woods all lent great support until skipper Tim Rawstron called them in with 36 overs bowled of the potential 45.
St Annes then produced another fine show in the field as first of all, Ian Howe with 2-29 and Nick Jones with 1-5 in 6 overs shot out the top order. Arshad Javed with 2-11 and Mike Harris with an astonishing 4-1 then stepped in to reduce Blackpool from 43 for 3 to 54 all out.
St Annes take 18 points to Blackpool's 2.
