With a side weakend by injuries and late withdrawls St Annes had an emphatic victory over their nearest challengers by 9 wickets. At the halfway stage of the season, having had 2 games washed out they have won all their other 8 matches to be leading the league.
This week they won the toss and put St Joseph's in to bat. Skipper Graham Tindall returned from his Greek Island holiday well refreshed to take 6 for 21 and was well supported by Monohar Malla taking 3 wickets in his debut bowling performance. Another debutant Charles Boucher opened the batting and scored a superb 66 not out to take the side to a win this time with the help of Mike Hartley with 17 not out.
