Match Report

With the league title at stake and a heavy shower 20 minutes before the start St Joseph's did not want to play. They made no effort to dry the ground however St Annes swept the water off the track and had brought their own sawdust. After much arguing it was agreed that the match would start at 3.30pm. As one would expect St Annes lost the toss and with it under the rules, the league.

St Annes bowled and fielded superb dismissing the opposition in 42 overs for 79 with Nick Jones taking 7 for 23 incuding a hat trick. This left St Annes only 10 overs to bat to get 80 and despite a tremendous effort on a long out field this was not possible.

Whilst this meant runners up again the side were an absolute credit to themselves and the club in this game and throughout the season.
