Match Report

Boston won the toss and batted on a fine sunny day at St Annes. John Whiteside plated a fine innings of 96 which was the mainstay of the score supported by skipper Wilkinson. However John Whiteside was dropped on 4 occassions. St Annes skipper Graham Tindall had another 5 wicket haul.

The score should have been achievable but the top order collapsed to 18 for 4 and from there it was an uphill battle. The rest of the team made a good fight of it and it was only in the last over that the result was beyond doubt. There were fine knocks by Tummalapalli, Owen, Tindall and Dougall.
