Lancaster young star Danny Hagen reached his century from the last ball of the innings. He faced 142 balls and hit one six and 11 fours and was well supported by professional Renier Munnik who made 51 from Lancaster's impressive 214 - 6. It proved 43 runs too many for St Annes who were bowled out for 171 with runs coming from the middle order where skipper Sean Bickerdike led the way with 41 and Joe Davies contributed 37 and Adrian Darlington, batting at number six, 21. Geoff Barnes had the impressive figures of 9-6-5-3 and his wickets included South African professional Geoff Love, bowled for nought.
