| Match Report
A stronger St Annes outfit were always behind the clock in this limited overs cup match but as ever, they battled hard and at one point in their innings, looked as though they could overhaul Postal.
Nigel Connolly in his first bowl of the season and 14 year old James Atherton were the pick of the bowlers and the whole fielding performance was tight and typical of the spirit of this team.
Atherton (27) opened the reply with Roger Hughes (36) and they put on 47 before Atherton perished in the deep. Hughes continued to bat aggressively and received fine support from Connolly and Andy Delaney. However, 24 off the last over was far too much for Andy Broadbent and Tim Rawstron but St Annes went down honourably.
