Match Report A severely weakened nine-man St Annes squad put up the bravest of shows against their high-flying opponents. They restricted them to a lowish score by fine, containing bowling and tigerish fielding. the pick of the bowlers was 15 year old Paul Wilks whose long spell of well flighted spin earned him 3 for 29. Dean Threapleton and Matthew Livingstone took five excellent catches between them. The batting reply was always an uphill task but they showed sufficient resolution to occupy the crease for 33 overs with Adrian Speakman, Andy Broadbent, Paul Threapleton and Tim Rawstron proving hard to dislodge.
