Match Report St Annes just failed to win outright as they could get the final wicket needed dispite using 6 different bowlers and also managing to bowl 46 overs in two and a quarter hours. The highlight of the St Annes innings was a superb 98 from Mike Hartley. After a slow but steady start he proceeded to take the Baxi attack apart with shots all round the ground. Baxi never looked to score the runs as wickets fell regularly with skipper Graham Tindall taking 5 for 22 from 17 overs. It was a good performance against the side that was just below them in 3rd place in the league and the points gap between the sides has therefore increased.
