| Match Report
St Annes put out one of their youngest and most inexperienced sides against the League leaders Boston and put an extremely creditable performance. On a good pitch with a fast outfield the young bowlers stuck to their task and each of the four picked up wickets including Peter Jackson and Paul Wilks both of whom are under 15's. The fielding of the whole team was first class and 8 catches were held during the Boston innings.
In reply St Annes were always in with a chance. Tim Bernstein(33) and Graham Tindall (23) were the mainstays of the inninings but special mention should be given to Paul Wilks and Ben McCabe , two young players who showed great application and ability in their innings against an experienced attack.
