St Annes clinched a fine win in the last over of the game to continue their chase after Boston in their pursuite of the League title.
In the innings of St Joseph's it took some while to make the breakthrough and this was done by Paul Wilks who took the first two wickets on his debut game for the 3rd team.After that wickets continued to fall at a steady rate due to some fine bowling by Graham Tindall 5 for 35 from 22overs and Stephen Wright 3 for 35 supported by some great catches and top class ground fielding.
In reply St Annes made a steady start and were always on course to reach the target. Simon Owen(30) and Stephen Wright(28) put them in a good position but the main innings cam from Nigel Bernstein who saw the team home with a solid 34 not out.
