| Match Report
St Annes came out on top in this Cup semi final in a game that kept swinging different ways and where the result was never certain until the final wicket was obtained. St Annes put in by Blackpool made a good start with 50 runs coming up in the 12th over however the introduction of Mercer and Mustafa put on the brakes and 100 only came up in the 35th over. However a fine stand of 92 between Andy Kellett(58) and Roger Banks(38n.o.) saw them pick up the rate and post a final score of 173.
In reply after the early loss of a wicket Blackpool through Aga and Mercer they looked well in command when the score was 111 for 1 in the 21st over however Dave Booth once again made the breakthrough and with support from all the other bowlers saw the home team win by 23 runs. Skipper Andy Kellet made his Cup bowling debut and got a wicket 1st ball and finished with 2 for 16.
