| Match Report
A match which promised so much , dragged out to a boring draw as Blackpool refused to accept the challenge of scoring 209 to win from 50 overs. This lack of adventure saw them also fail to reach 150 and they were denied any batting points.
St Annes started slowly against the accurate Sharp ,but punished Croft in his only four overs. However they were rocked when Callaghan was out in the 22nd over with the score on 67. Davies and Bradley then put on 81 in 78 minutes with the agressive Davies hitting a six and six fours in his entertaining innings. After this Bradley continued on his watchful innings before being eighth man out at 200.Kellett also had entertained in his quick fire 23 from 17 balls. A total of 208 was a fair score but certainly gettable.
St Annes started in great style with both openers back in the pavillion with just 7 on the board. After this Blackpool showed no interest in attacking the total---- wickets fell but St Annes could not really press home the advantage. With the score on 94-4 with 20 overs left , Blackpool finished on 137-6 with Davies the pick of the bowlers.
How different it all was from the excitement of last week.
