| Match Report
A fifteen point win for St Annes and the first league win of the season. It was never going to be an easy wicket to bat on yet the class of St Annes professional shone through. Few will forget the 25 runs he scored off the final over with four consecutive sixes. His innings included 8 fours and 6 sixes.and he batted 155 minutes. Of the Leyland bowlers,Lillee toiled away for 23 overs to finish with the respectable figures of 2-57. A final total of 187 included a count of 15 no balls from Leyland professional John.
St Annes took wickets at regular intervals during the Leyland innings . Captain Bradley rand the changes using six bowlers and all were rewarded with a wicket. The highest partnership in the innings was 32 and St Annes had it all wrapped up inside 48 overs.A good all round bowling performance as the promise of recent weeks continues.
