| Match Report
St Annes made a disappointing semi-final exit from the Nuffield Cup. A final total of 128 built around Callaghans 78 was always going to be inadequate unless early wickets were taken and this did'nt happen.Only opener Evans of the other batsmen reached double figures and he and Callaghan put on 46 for the second wicket. Callaghan was last man out in the final over.
Bavla and Rimmer gave Leyland a solid start which was carried on by pro for the day Nash. At 96-2 they wobbled a little but Pallett smashed three fours and a six to see them home in 37 overs and give them a deserved win.
