A Message From Frank Chrispin
Dear all,
As you may know I am staying with my daughter in Suffolk for a little while due to illness. I am missing you all but keeping in touch with the results through the website and calls / messages /cards from Brian, Alec, Harry and Barbara and Ted - thank you and keep them coming! While in hospital I was given a bat by my consultant which had been specially signed by Alvin Kallicharran. I am probably not going to get much use out of it, at least this season, but it is nice to look at.
Good luck for the rest of the season, Best wishes Frank
Thanks Greg
The Junior Cricket Committee would like to thank Greg Whitehead who last month completed the Blackpool 10k in a very quick time and in doing so raised money for Cancer Research and for St Annes junior cricket. His generosity is well received and his contribution will be used to purchase the trophies for the junior presentation night. Thanks Greg.

Professional
Dinuka Hettiarachchi is to be the club professional for the 2009 season. He is a 32 year old left arm orthodox slow bowler and right hand batsmen. He has played 1 test for Sri Lanka and is currently playing for the Chilaw Marians in Sri Lanka. Flintoff to Play for St Annes in Key Fixtures
It sounds unlikely and very probably is but following a Northern League rule change it could happen! The new rule allows professional players to play as amateurs for the club where they started out as juniors. Chorley could field Tom Smith, Blackpool Steven Croft and of course St Annes could field Andrew Flintoff. So Andy, if you are doing nothing on a Saturday afternoon and you fancy a bit of a thrash you will always be welcome.
It should be noted that St Annes voted against this rule change but were the only club to do so.
